Field Installation Technician

We seek a talented and motivated Field Installation Technician who will be responsible for the installation, configuration and quality of our customers’ video wall systems. In this role you will be working with the latest AV technologies including displays, audio and control systems, and video processors. As such, you will need to possess the drive and desire to perform the physical installation, as well as technical skill and passion to install and configure drivers, software and setup complex windows and networking environments. The ideal candidate possesses 3-5 years of hands-on experience with commercial AV equipment.   

 
Responsibilities: 

•  In office work includes rack construction, hardware and software configurations, prepping systems for shipment to customers
• Onsite installation work includes pulling and terminating cable, installing wall mounted and floor mounted displays, audio equipment, and other AV and IT hardware
• Configuration of system hardware and software as required by the project
• Training of customers on system functionality and configuration as required by the project
• Creating daily reports of project progress, maintaining and updating system documentation for projects
• ·Adhere to departmental standards with regards to work quality, performance, and communication to project team and customers 

Skills and Qualifications: 

• Ability to travel extensively (including overnight) both national and international 
• Strong aptitude and interest in the construction and maintenance of  PC, AV, Electronic equipment and systems.
• Ability to interpret and carry out job specifications for multiple jobs.
• Ability to organize jobs effectively and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to identify and communicate job issues.
• Ability to delegate tasks effectively.
• Ability to provide clear written and verbal job status reports.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to read simple mechanical drawings.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to lift up to a maximum of 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb a ladder.
• Ability to identify different colored wires.
